The Cairo Symphony Orchestra announces the following Vacancies to be filled by the beginning of the 2025/2026 Season:

Assistant Principal Double Bass:

Requirements:

·       Classical Concerto (Dittersdorf, Vanhal or Dragonetti)

·       Concerto by Bottesini

·       Orchestra Excerpts

Violin I Tutti:

Requirements:

·       Mozart Concerto 3, 4 or 5 & Another work + Orchestra Excerpts       

Violin II Tutti:

Requirements:

·       Mozart Concerto 3, 4 or 5 & Another work + Orchestra Excerpts   

Viola Tutti:

·       Stamitz/Hofmeister & Another work + Orchestra Excerpts

2^nd Oboe:

·       Mozart Concerto for Oboe + Orchestra Excerpts

2^nd Trombone:

·         David Ferdinand concerto for Trombone & Another work + Orchestra Excerpts -Mozart Requiem (Tuba Mirum)

Piano:

·       Stravinsky – Petruska / Firebird & Another work + orchestra parts

Auditions:

 will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 02.00 pm.
