The Cairo Symphony Orchestra announces the following Vacancies to be filled by the beginning of the 2024/2025 Season:

Violin I  Vorspieler (Advanced Tutti):  

(Mozart Concerto 3, 4 or 5 & another Romantic Concerto) + +Orchestra Excerpts

Violin I Tutti:

(Mozart Concerto 3, 4 or 5 & Another work  

                              + Orchestra Excerpts       

Violin II Tutti:

(Mozart Concerto 3, 4 or 5 & Another work +  

                               Orchestra Excerpts   

Viola Tutti (Stamitz/Hofmeister & Another work + Orchestra Excerpts

Viola Assistant Principal (Stamitz/Hofmeister & Bartok, Walton or Hindemith + Orchestra Excerpts

Tutti Violoncello:

Haydn Cello concerto in C or D major & Another work + Orchestra Excerpts  

Second Bassoon: (50% Contract) Mozart Concerto + Another work +  

                               Orchestra Excerpts   

Percussion:

Excellent performance on All Standard Percussion Instruments.

Repertoire should be arranged with Mr. Oleksaner Grechenko, solo timpanist of the orchestra. + Orchestra Excerpts   

Auditions will take place on Sunday, September 01, 2024 at 02.00 pm.

Orchestra Excerpts will be announced 2 Weeks before the Auditions.

Application deadline will be August 17, 2024.
